Getting Started

  1. Install OptiRoute: Search for "OptiRoute" in the monday.com marketplace and install the app.
  2. Launch OptiRoute:
    • Launch OptiRoute Open OptiRoute within your monday.com board. You can do this by selecting the integrations menu at the top of your board, or selecting multiple items and using the apps context menu.

Field Configuration

  1. Set Up Location Field Mapping:
    • Field Mapping Configure which fields in your monday.com board contain location data. OptiRoute can work with:
      • Location type columns in monday.com
      • Text columns containing addresses
      • Text columns containing coordinates (latitude, longitude)
  2. Define Starting Point:
    • Set a starting point for your route. This could be your office, warehouse, or any other location where your journey begins.
    • You can enter this as an address or coordinates.
  3. Configure Advanced Options (Optional):
    • Advanced Options
      • Travel Mode: Choose between driving, walking, or cycling.
      • Route Type: Select between shortest distance or fastest time.
      • Return to Start: Option to include a return trip to the starting point.
      • Avoid Highways/Tolls: Set preferences for route characteristics.

Usage

  1. Select Locations for Routing:
    • Select multiple items with location data that you want to include in your route.
    • You can select specific items or entire groups.
  2. Generate Route:
    • Click the "Calculate Route" button to generate an optimized route.
    • Note: Processing may take a few moments depending on the number of locations.
  3. View and Export Results:
    • Route Results Review the generated route on the integrated map. You'll see:
      • Optimized stop sequence
      • Estimated travel times between stops
      • Total distance and time
      • Turn-by-turn directions
    • Export the route as a PDF report or share it with team members.
  4. Update monday.com Board (Optional):
    • OptiRoute can update your monday.com board with the optimized sequence, adding:
      • Stop sequence numbers
      • Estimated arrival times
      • Travel time between locations
